Karolina Jaklewicz is a Polish painter, educator and curator. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, receiving a diploma with distinction in painting under Prof. Stanisław Kortyka and a diploma in painting design in architecture and urban planning under Prof. Wojciech Kaniowski. In 2012, she defended her doctoral thesis at the same university. In the years 2000-2003, she also studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń, majoring in Art Education. Currently, she works as an assistant professor at the Department of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture at the Faculty of Architecture of Wrocław University of Technology. Jaklewicz is a curator at the Socato Art Gallery. She is also the originator and curator of the national Young Art Review "Fresh Blood". She is a member of an international group of artists using the language of geometry gathered around Bożena Kowalska. Her art is characterized by a distinctive color palette and geometric, architectural abstraction. She is inspired by the cube in the context of the metaphor of being and deconstructive architecture.
