Krzysztof Iwanowicz studied at the Faculty of Interior Design and Painting of the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Wrocław (currently the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts) from 1987 to 1989. The artist deals mainly with abstract painting within the New Expressionism trend. Improvisation, the use of controlled chance and spontaneous gesture are important in the creative process. Interesting effects of space and movement are achieved, among other things, through differentiated application of paint and texture. Mixed technique, acrylics, emulsion, pastels and sprays are used in paintings on both paper and canvas. References to nature and landscape are evident in the artist's work. The paintings are a record of emotions, impressions and feelings inspired by the surrounding reality, special places, events, music and nature. The artist's works are exhibited and sold in galleries and auction houses.
