Krzysztof Krawiec (b.1973 Mielec) | 4383

Krzysztof Krawiec is a graduate of the P. Michałowski State Higher School of Visual Arts in Rzeszów and the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. He obtained his diploma in 1998 in the Wood Engraving Studio under Prof. Zbigniew Lutomski and in the Typography and Illustration Studio under Prof. Grzegorz Marszałek. The artist works in painting, printmaking, illustration and drawing. He has had many solo exhibitions in, among others, Mielec, Rzeszów, Sandomierz, Przemyśl, Kraków, Poznań, and as part of the 18th International Fantastic Festival at Nidzica Castle. He is the author of several hundred covers and illustrations for books, periodicals, poetry volumes and CDs, including illustrations for children's books, e.g. for the Wizard of Oz series.
Between 1999 and 2002, he published his drawings in the "Nowa Fantastyka" monthly. His favourite style is surrealism, esoteric, mystic, fantasy and magical realism.
