Lucjan Mianowski was a Polish painter, graphic designer, pedagogue. In 1950, he studied poster design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Afterwards, he was educating himself in Paris and Algeria. Mianowski is considered to be one of the first Polish artists creating works in pop-art aesthetics. He was influenced also by surrealism, art informel, and hyperrealism. The artist was awarded with several artistic rewards. Many museums and galleries in Poland and abroad are in possession of his works.
