Marcelina Ćwik is a painting student at the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa. She has been creating since 2014, when she started with illustrations and comics inspired by computer games and the work of other artists. Currently, she mainly works with oil and acrylic painting, drawing and graphic illustration, designing simple short drawing animations. She is also open to other art forms such as collages and dry-erases from printmaking.
She strives to combine representational and symbolic painting on canvas with elements of illustration, trying to find a balance between the two so that the paintings do not lose their painterly quality. She currently depicts women, and the stories and characters painted on them are taken from literature, religion or her own experiences in society.
