Marcin Kokoszko is a Polish artist. He studied painting at the Faculty of Arts of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. He works in the broad field of visual art: installations, objects, painting, drawing, photography, poetry and video art. He works mainly in the field of turpist aesthetics, although it is not a determinant for him in undertaking specific themes or creative activities. The subject matter of the works is the peculiar 'nervous system' of man, ethereality, dryness, certain poetic minimalism, the crumpled aesthetics of the object, the perplexing emotions and delusions. The paintings are characterised by a graphic formula without or with minimal use of colour. In almost all works, the technique is mixed or proprietary solutions are sought. Rarely is it "pure" abstraction, usually the starting point is elements, scraps from the surrounding reality, something remembered, even from childhood, imagined, observed, translated into the canvas of one's own sensitivity or subordinated to the theme of the work. The approach to each work and its means are slightly different each time. The artist tries not to create similar works, but they are distinctive and associated with the artist through their overtones.
