Michał Krzemiński currently lives and works in Łódź. Painter, art therapist, art educator. Winner of the artistic scholarship of the Mayor of Łódź in 2022. Nominated by the Editorial Board of Dziennik Łódzki for the title Personality of the Year 2022 in the category of Culture. Winner of the programme ‘Apartment for talented students/graduates of Łódź universities recommended by the Rector’ in 2022. Graduated in 2018 with a Master's degree in Artistic Education in the Field of Fine Arts, specialisation Art Therapy, from the Artistic Education College of the Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He defended his artistic diploma ‘Signs of everyday life’ in the painting studio of Prof. Grzegorz Mroczkowski in 2018. He wrote his theoretical master's thesis ‘Contexts of genre painting’ under the supervision of Dr Magdalena Janota-Bzowska. He obtained the title of Master of Arts. In 2016, he completed his Bachelor's degree in International Cultural Studies, specialising in Media and Cultural Management, at the Faculty of International and Political Studies, University of Łódź. His bachelor's thesis ‘Virtual Death and the Killing Game. Identity and perception of reality of junior high school players', prepared under the supervision of Dr Marek Wojtaszek. The artist's paintings have been exhibited, among others, at the BWA Jatki Art Gallery in Nowy Targ (2024), at the MM Municipal Art Gallery in Chorzów (2023), at the Municipal Activity Factory in Łódź (2022), at the National Museum in Kraków (2019, 2020), at the Art Book Museum in Łódź (2017), at the Wł. Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (2016). His works are also in the collection of the New Frontier Art Gallery in Manila, Philippines, as well as with private collectors. Krzeminski's artistic interests revolve around figurative painting, particularly genre painting, conceptualism and critical art. Moreover, he is interested in the use of art in his work with children, people with mental disorders and illnesses, the disabled, but also in education, personal and professional development. He finds artistic inspiration in the work of Andrzej Wróblewski, Stanisław Wyspiański, Edward Hopper, David Hockney or Paul Cezanne.
