Paweł Błęcki is a Polish photographer, sculptor, author of objects and installations. Doctoral student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (in the studio of Dr Iwona Demko). Graduate of Intermedia at the University of Arts in Poznań (diploma under Prof. Piotr Kurka) and Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He also studied archaeology and cultural studies at the University of Gdansk and photography at the FAMU Film School in Prague. His works deal with social, ecological and political issues such as consumerism, handicraft and art therapy. Initiator of workshop-participatory activities in which he recreates traditional handicraft techniques and sets them in a contemporary context. Co-founder of the atist-research collective Office of Common Activity, which deals with sustainable production and accessibility in the field of art. Co-founder of the art-ecological group Inter-species Community+. He was a member of the artist collective Empty Collection.
His works have been shown, among others, at individual exhibitions at the Łaźnia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdańsk, at the State Art Gallery in Sopot, at the BWA City Gallery in Bydgoszcz, at the EL Gallery in Elbląg, and at collective exhibitions at, among others, the Centre for Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, the BWA in Zielona Góra, the BWA in Tarnów, the BWA in Wrocław, and the Labirynt Gallery in Lublin.
