Ryszard Waśko is a Polish painter who also works in photography, film, video art, installation and drawing. He graduated from the Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź, where he himself worked as a lecturer between 1970 and 1983. One of the first and most important members of the Film Form Workshop, founded in 1970. In the 1980s, he opened an ecological trend in his work, becoming one of its pioneers in world art. As an internationally acclaimed artist, he took part in four editions of the Venice Biennale.
