Szymon Czechowicz was a Polish Baroque painter. Between 1711 and 1716 he studied at the Academy of Saint Luke in Rome. He is known as a creator of religious paintings and as a portraitist. On his compositions he depicted On his compositions, he depicted, among others, Jan Fryderyk Sapieha, Klemens Branicki, Wacław Rzewuski or Jan Tarło. At the turn of 2020 and 2021, the National Museum in Krakow hosted a monographic exhibition of the artist, 'Genius of Baroque. Szymon Czechowicz". The paintings of Czechowicz can be found, among others, in the National Museum in Cracow, Warsaw and the Lviv Art Gallery.
