Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz was a Polish painter, portraitist, battle artist and author of genre scenes. In the years 1868-1873, he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow under Władysław Łuszczkiewicz. He also attended the Academies of Fine Arts in Vienna and Munich. Moreover, he apprenticed in the atelier of Józef Brandt. Interestingly, in 1894, he worked at the Sultan's court in Constantinople, in London he painted a portrait of the Prince of Wales, and in Vienna he created for the imperial court and the local aristocracy. One of his most famous works is "Portrait of Helena Modrzejewska", which is currently held at the National Museum in Krakow.
