Tomasz Kawiak is a Polish artist. He studied painting and interior design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1962 to 1967, graduating in 1968 and continuing his education at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 1971 to 1973. One of the most important motifs in the artist's art are jeans, fixed in various plastic forms, above all in sculptural casts. Between 1968 and 1970, Tomasz Kawiak was an assistant in the ceramics studio at the painting department of his alma mater.
