Tomasz Koclęga is a Polish sculptor, academic teacher, founder and leader of Snow Art Poland group. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 1993. He has taught at universities in the USA, Czech Republic and Finland. Koclęga's work is mainly figurative sculpture, focused on emotions around the concept of humanity and human nature. The artist has a perfect mastery of form – often deformed, expressive, dynamic. The sculptor is also known for his huge spatial projects, which are permanently located in several countries around the world, including the USA, India, Lithuania, and his native Poland. He mainly creates works in bronze, sometimes combining this metal with gold, glass or wood. His style is distinctive and recognizable (especially in Asia). However, Koclęga does not limit himself in expression, experimenting with new elements. His works have been exhibited at about 50 solo exhibitions and over 100 group exhibitions worldwide.
