Władysław Czachórski was a Polish academic painter, professor at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. He began his artistic education in the Warsaw Drawing Class under Rafał Hadziewicz, then in Dresden and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He owed his popularity to portraits of women against rich interiors, depicted in great detail. Apart from portraits, he also painted genre scenes, still lifes and paintings on Shakespearean themes.
