Wojciech Korneli Stattler was a Polish artist and academic painter. Realist elements can be found in his work, as well as inspiration from the work of the Nazarenes and Biedermeier. Stattler's teachers included Jozef Brodowski, Jozef Peszka, Franciszek Lampi and Bertel Thorvaldsen and Antoni Canova (during his studies in Rome and Venice). He portrayed Adam Mickiewicz on several occasions.
