A pendant for a chain or bracelet, made of the internationally recognized 1 Ducat coin made of 0.986 gold (98.6% pure gold). Extremely rich in detail, the coin is decorated with the coat of arms of the Habsburg power, as well as the image of one of the last great monarchs of Europe, Franz Joseph. It was first minted in 1872 and its design is still used today by the Austrian Mint. The obverse shows the profile of Emperor Franz Joseph wearing a laurel wreath. The portrait is surrounded by the title: "FRANC IOS I D G AUSTRIAE IMPERATOR" ("Francis Joseph I by God's grace Emperor of Austria"). The reverse depicts the Habsburg coat of arms, surrounded by the text "HVNGAR BOHEM GAL LOD ILL REX AA 1915″, which translates as "Hungarian, Bohemian, Galician, Lodomeria, Illyrian, King and Archduke of Austria 1915". The coin is framed in an openwork bezel of 585 fine gold with a chain ring. The hoop shows the Viennese gold hallmark and the goldsmith's workshop mark. Diameter of the whole pendant 24 mm, weight 4.52 grams.
