Maurice Jean Bourguignon (1877 - 1925), oil painting on canvas depicting in the foreground the Crane on the Motława, the most recognizable symbol of the city of Gdańsk. The work was executed around 1915, probably during the artist's trip to Europe. Expressive, textural painting, visible steamboats, sailing ships, crowds of people. In the bottom left corner there is the artist's handwritten signature M.J. Bourguignon. Original oak frame with brass plaques "DANTZIG" and M.J BOURGUIGNON. The painting measures 63 x 81 cm, in the light of the frame 45 x 59 cm.
