A collectible kowsz (drinking vessel) made in 1908 in one of the most prominent goldsmiths' workshops - Maria Ivanova Sokolova. The cowrie is made of sterling silver, decorated with wonderful cellular enamel with floral motifs. The original gilding glow is visible on the whole, the enamel is preserved in perfect condition. Deliberately left natural patina of time. Length 6.50 cm, weight 40.30 grams. On the bottom one can see Moscow hallmark for silver of 84th quality from 1908 to 1917 (1908 was the last year when Sokolowa had her workshop) and workshop mark in form of oval inscribed monogram МС - Мария Ивановна Соколова (Maria Sokolowa). Excellent condition. The highest craftsmanship of Russian goldsmiths.
