


A beautiful bowl made in the studio of Józef Fraget at the beginning of the 20th century. Supported by four profiled legs decorated with acanthus leaves, the belly of an openwork platter with floral motifs. Inside, original glass in perfect condition !! On the bottom there is a visible FRAGET N PLAQUE mark with the serial number 4989. Height 10 cm, width measured with the lugs 20.5 cm. General condition - perfect, silver without any signs of abrasions !! The item is made with the highest craftsmanship, the plate looks like a silver product from the best Russian goldsmiths! This is the most luxurious Fraget product ever in our offer! FRAGET JÓZEF (born in 1797 in La Ferté near Jouarre - died in 1867 in Warsaw; industrialist. He studied at polytechnic institutes in Paris and Berlin. Brought to Warsaw in 1824 by the then Minister of Internal Affairs Tadeusz Mostowski, he launched the first plant of plated products in Poland, initially small, from 1844 its own factory at 16 Elektoralna Street, constantly modernizing production (among others, it set up a laboratory for electroplating silvering and gilding metal products), placed the factory among the best in Europe. The perfection and aesthetic value of Fraget platters were highly valued in the entire Kingdom of Poland and Russia. After Fraget's death, the factory was run by his son Julian (1841-1906).
