"Kanonicza Street in Krakow", oil painting on cardboard by Henryk Dietrich made in the 1930s during the period in which the artist lived permanently in Krakow (1930-1936). Texture painting (paint applied in very thick layers), color work in the manner of Polish colourists characterized by warm colors, shadows applied in cool shades, basically without the use of black paint. Picture with dimensions of 45.5 x 37.5 cm, in the frame light 31.5 x 23.5 cm. In the lower right corner, the artist's handwritten signature "Henryk Dietrich" is visible. A wooden frame, original from the era with a few traces of repairs, the picture framed in "Krakow style" under the glass (which can of course be removed). The painting was probably a gift as evidenced by the brass plate visible in the lower part of the frame with the dedication "On the 40th anniversary of the Provincial Council of the Krakow Union". The general condition of the work itself is perfect!
