Pocket watch from the renowned great timepiece manufacture IWC Schaffhausen with serial number 929008 made in 1930 in Art Deco style. The case is made of gold 585 (14 karat) except for the inner envelope (covering the mechanism) which is gold plated. The hand-winding mechanism is perfectly running and bears the IWC Probus Scafusia registered trademark on the envelope. Diameter 50 mm, quite flat, ideal for a tailcoat or waistcoat; thickness 8 mm, weight 69 grams. Gold features visible in two places, on the envelope and on the lugs. The case back decorated with geometric engraving, typical of the style. Very legible dial, with clear hour indices (Arabic numerals), at 6 o'clock with fluid seconds hand. Very good condition, mechanism in perfect working order, the case is undamaged, without engraved dedications, monograms, small micro-splits visible under high magnification.
