Cristal de Sevres is a label founded in 1750 by King Louis XV, it was only through the initiative and enterprise of his official mistress Madame de Pompadour that the company reached the heights of excellence. Under her patronage, the Sevres name flourished and gained international prestige. Madame, as a well-known patron of the arts, employed the most talented artists of the time in the factory. Under her leadership and that of her brother, the Royal Sevres Manufactory devoted itself to the production of the highest quality crystal, winning customers throughout Europe. Sevres was supplied by all the royal courts of the time, the richest merchants and bankers, ensuring the factory a place in history and prestige throughout the world. The company exists to this day and is synonymous with excellent taste, finesse and exclusivity.
