The manufactory was founded in 1903 by Reinhard Rothe. The manufactory produced jardinieres, small objects of sacred art, vases and multiple reproductions of classical sculpture. The Kranichfelder Porzellanmanufaktur never produced tableware. The factory had problems with the law - it was sued by the Berlin KPM because of the factory's mark. Rothe used a very similar mark to that of the Berlin manufactory to mark its crockery, which the court considered an attempt to imitate the mark. As punishment, Kranichfelder Porzellanmanufaktur had to pay a hefty fine, which resulted in the closure of the manufactory in 1910.
