Meissen is a porcelain factory founded in 1710 (as the first in Europe). Meissen has a great history and tradition, having won all the major awards since the day it was founded. Meissen porcelain is still admired by multitudes today, their wares are the most counterfeited by factories all over the world. Creators of the most expensive, most famous porcelain tableware, figures. The factory boasts the most well-known mark used on porcelain: a schematic drawing of crossed swords, painted with cobalt under the glaze, which was an element from the coat of arms of Saxon electors.
