Prada Italian fashion house founded in 1913 in Milan by Mario Prada. He opened his first leather goods boutique in Milan in 1913. The company founded by Mario Prada initially consisted of a single shop offering suitcases. In 1919, the company became the official supplier of the Italian royal house. The coat of arms and the symbol of the Savoy dynasty became a major part of the Prada trademark. The next owner of the house became Luisa Prada, who twenty years later passed the business to her daughter Miucci. She took over the family business in 1978. It was then that Prada's journey to the top began.
