RS Tillowitz
Name
RS Tillowitz

The production of crockery in Tułowice (German Tillowitz) began thanks to the discovery of clay in the area. Thanks to Count Johann Carl Praschm, a faience factory was opened in Tułowice, which was taken over in 1889 by Arnold Schlegelmilch, who ran the Tułowice factory as part of the Reinhold Schlegelmilch company until his death in 1934. The factory was active during the Second World War. Production only stopped when the Red Army entered Silesia. The Polish authorities took over the factory in 1946 and began producing porcelain in 1947 as the State Porcelite Table Factory. It operated in this form until 1995, when it was transformed into Fabryka Porcelitu Tułowice S.A.. In 2001, the company went bankrupt.
