The factory was founded in 1811 on the initiative of Franz Miessel, the owner of the mine, who acquired the right to produce ceramics. Initially, faïence wares were produced. Between 1830 and 1834, the factory was under the supervision of F. Weisl, it was not directly managed by Miessl. In 1834 the factory was sold by the previous owner to Johann Huttner, Johann Dietl and Johann Schreyerow. Following this transaction, the name of the company was changed to Huttner & Co. Porcelain was now produced under this name. Over the years, the factory passed into the hands of successive owners. In 1872, the factory became the property of Haas & Czjzek in Horní Slavkov. From then on, the factory flourished, the best evidence of which was the number of employees – around 1940 750 people were working in the factory. After 1945, the factory was nationalized, and in 1958 it became part of Karlovarský Porcelán. The factory is still in operation today and specializes in hand-decorated and hand-made pink porcelain.
