Both Waclaw Sporski and his son Alex are Belarusian painters of Polish origin. Both have a huge imagination, a well-developed workshop and an idea for their art. Their paintings can be found in many private collections around the world. What distinguishes the paintings of this pair of artists?

The oneirism of the Sporskis' paintings

The Sporski tandem pursues a similar artistic vision. The viewer, when looking at their paintings, is transported into a daydream; the artists realize oneiric visions (oneirism is a tendency in art that involves constructing reality in the manner of a dream). The figures in their paintings are often dressed in elaborate costumes, partly oriental and partly associated with Christian painting. The compositions of the painters also feature Christian symbolism, some figures wear medallions with saints, and the titles and themes of some paintings refer directly to Christianity (e.g. "Archangel Michael" by Wacław Sporski). All the figures and events are "distant", and the vision is distorted by numerous lines and intentional imperfections.

The artists run a joint website and Facebook account.
