Antonina Kacperska
First and last name
Antonina Kacperska
Date of birth
2001, Warszawa

Antonina Kacperska is a promising artist of the young generation. She started her artistic education in the King Jan III Sobieski Gimnasium in Warsaw, attending a class with an artistic profile. Then she continued her education at the Warsaw XXXIV High School with Bilingual Branches named after Miguel de Cervantes, also in a class profiled for artistic education.

At the turn of the year 2016/2017, she moved to the United States for 12 months, where she gained further experience related to art, studying at Sterling High School in Kansas City. While in the US, she participated in an art competition.

Currently she is studying at School of Form, majoring in Design. At SoF special emphasis is put on practice, teaching students different techniques and styles.

Kacperska draws inspiration from, among others, the pink and blue period of Pablo Picasso, the works of Francis Bacon, Marga Geerlinks, Biljana Djurdjevic, Louise Bourgeoise and Patricia Piccinini. Her art is largely figurative, in her works she usually focuses on the representation of human beings and everything associated with them. However, the people on her canvases are often deformed, dismembered, non-human. The techniques and artistic conventions used by the artist give her works an atmosphere brimming with difficult or unusual emotions and states. The artist skilfully plays with proportions and colors, inviting the viewer into her psychedelic, camp world full of uncanny and abject symbolism.
