Gabriel Rodak studied art history at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and illustration at the School of Fine Arts and Conservation in Valladolid, Spain.
As the artist himself says about himself: "I am a dreamer, wishing to share my inner world through various means of expression: painting, illustration, digital art, film, literature, theatre, and music. Art for me is not only an adventure, but also an eternal dialogue. I believe that the only real limitation is the imagination, and that artistic work is a constant exploration of all aspects of beauty and its perception. I have formed the deepest bond with oil painting, although techniques such as acrylic, watercolour, digital painting and collage are equally close to my heart. The common feature of my work is always colour. The vivid and intense character of the colours used is my attempt to bring more joy to an often too grey and monotonous reality. Inspiration is a kind of state of mind. My creative sources include observation of my own inner self, the environment around me and contemplation of the works of great masters. I am fascinated by psychology, philosophy, history and I love fantasy literature and ancient art. For years I have lived and worked in Spain - my second home and an endless source of inspiration. The light and colours of the south, the local joy and the ever-present music provide a wonderful environment for creativity."
