Hanna Bakuła (b.1950 Warsaw) | 4785

Hanna Bakuła is a painter, stage designer, costume designer and writer. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1981, she moved to the USA, where she settled in New York and lived in Manhattan. In the United States, she won many awards, including an IREX scholarship on the recommendation of the Guggenheim Foundation. In 1990, she returned to Poland, where she became involved with such monthly magazines as Playboy and Uroda. In 2022, the Hanna Bakuła Art Gallery ‘No Ba!’ opened in a townhouse on the Prudnik Market Square.
