Pablo Picasso is one of the most famous artists of the 20th century. He worked in painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, ceramics and poetry. Together with Georges Brac, he is considered the founder of Cubism. His work was heavily influenced by Post-Impressionism. From 1907 onwards, Picasso manifested a fascination with geometrisation and simplification of form, which gave rise to Cubism. After his collaboration with Brack, the principles of analytical, hermetic and synthetic cubism crystallised. From 1946, the artist lived and worked on the Côte d'Azur.
