René Jules Lalique was a glass artist and jeweler. In his career, he has designed objects of applied art (including perfume bottles, vases, vases, jewelry) and interior design elements. He learned his profession in Paris at the Collège Turgot and at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs. In the years 1878-1880 he studied at Sydenham College in London. When his artistic career gained momentum, he designed for famous jewelry companies, including Cartier and Boucheron. Together with the jeweler Varenne, he founded the company Lalique & Varenne, and the following year he set up his own company with original designs. In his works, he used a variety of materials: gold, precious stones, ivory, enamel, semi-precious stones and glass.
