Szymon Wypych is a sculptor and medallist from Częstochowa, he graduated from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. An active member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers and the Association of Sculptors, he worked for years as an art lecturer and methodical advisor. His works, presented at exhibitions at home and abroad — among others in Warsaw, Cracow, Baghdad, and Vienna. As an initiator of open-air artistic events, he has contributed to the development of the artistic community. He is the author of the Stations of the Cross on Przeprośna Górka, the statue of John Paul II in the Częstochowa Archcathedral, the bust of Dr Władysław Biegański on Rada Europy Square, the monument to the Victims of Hitlerism in Kłobuck, and the monument to the Orląt Lwowskich on Orląt Lwowskich Square in Częstochowa.
