Władysław Hasior is a Polish painter, sculptor, stage designer and assemblage artist. He studied at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He worked as an educator at the Kenar School in Zakopane. In the early 1970s he worked as a stage designer at the Polish Theatre in Wroclaw and as a teacher at the local State Higher School of Fine Arts. Hasior is mainly known as a creator of monumental sculptures and ephemeral actions combined with their execution, such as "Sunny Chariot". In the 1980s and 1990s. he created "Portraits" in assemblage and collage techniques. He represented Poland at the Sao Paulo Biennale in 1965 and 1971, the Venice Biennale in 1970 and at many other prestigious exhibitions around the world.
