The figure of the Angel appeared in Hasior's work since the mid-1960s. At the end of the 1980s, Hasior composed his assemblages from fragments of dolls and elements of various objects, giving them titles suggesting a direct inspiration: The Fall of the Angel (1988), Angel of Brass (1989), Angel Transparent (1990), Angel Underground (1990).
