Porzellanmanufaktur Hermann Ohme, Nieder-Salzbrunn, Lower Silesia (now Szczawienko)
Name
Porzellanmanufaktur Hermann Ohme, Nieder-Salzbrunn, Lower Silesia (now Szczawienko)

Located near Wałbrzych, the manufactory mainly produced large dinner sets. Products from Herman Ohme's factory were of excellent quality and could be purchased in two versions of glaze - transparent and in an ivory shade, which gave the porcelain a warmer colour. Products coated with a colourless, 'clear' glaze were mainly sold in Europe and were exported to the United States. They had floral and geometric decorations, although it was not uncommon for them to be sold without decoration. Dishes with an ivory glaze were additionally marked with the "Old Ivory" mark. This mark was mainly used for dishes exported to the United States. The production of dishes for export grew, which contributed to the failure of the factory - by 1930, the factory was already producing only export objects, which, combined with the world economic crisis, brought financial disaster to the manufactory. In 1930, Hermann Ohme's company went bankrupt.
