Magdalena Shummer-Fangor (born 1930) In the years 1957-60 she studied art history at the University of Warsaw. She spent almost half of her life abroad with her husband Wojciech Fangor, in the early 1960s in Europe, and then in the United States in 1966-1998. She exhibited her works mainly in New York, but also in Paris, Geneva and Berlin. In Poland, she took part in many individual and collective exhibitions, including in 2014 in the collective exhibition "Adoration of sweets" in Zachęta. He paints mainly with oil technique on board, canvas and steel sheet. The subjects he most willingly deal with are animals, portraits, and still lifes. He describes his style as poetic realism.
