Franciszek Andrzej Bobola Biberstein-Starowieyski was a Polish artist. Between 1949 and 1955 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and Warsaw. He worked in painting, drawing, printmaking, posters and theatre and television stage design. He was endowed with a baroque imagination and combined sensual forms with an intellectual message in his art with uncommon skill. His entire oeuvre ostentatiously referred to the old 17th-century masters. He was also a leading representative of the Polish School of Poster Design.
